MAY 5, 2020 ELECTION : SPECIAL RULES IN PLACE
ONLY GRAND HAVEN SCHOOL DISTRICT VOTERS HAVE AN ELECTION
Because of an emergency executive order issued by the Governor (Executive Order 2020-27), the election on Tuesday, May 5, is being conducted primarily by mail to limit possible exposure to COVID-19.
The Secretary of State strongly encourages voters in the Grand Haven School District to cast ballots by mail.
Limited in-person voting is still available for voters who are unable to vote an absent voter ballot, or who may have a disability or condition that prevents them from voting absentee without special assistance. There will not be a traditional polling place, but there will be one in-person voting station in the township office that will be outfitted with ballot issuance capabilities and a Voter Assist Terminal.
Please use the front entry drop box to return your absent voter ballot by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
The Bureau of Elections has been working with local election clerks to conduct a secure election that protects the health and safety of election workers and the public.
