Dead Deer Removal
While there is no statutory requirement for any agency in Michigan to perform deer removal services, the OCRC picks up and disposes of dead deer as a courtesy service for the public when they are not conducting scheduled maintenance activities,
responding to storm events, or snowplowing.
Landfill costs and budget constraints have limited this service to just one day a week,
typically on a Friday, when the remains are taken to certified landfills.
Please contact them on their website,
https://www.ottawacorc.com/, or call our office at 616-842-5400
to report a dead deer to be added to their future list of removal.
