A request from Bill Monhollon for a Special Land Use to exceed the allowable height for Accessory Buildings in Zone AG-1, per Section 4.10.C of the Port Sheldon Township Zoning Ordinance, for the property located at 6184 Lakeshore Dr., West Olive, MI 49460. Parcel #70-11-28-200-045
An ordinance to amend the Port Sheldon Township Zoning Ordinance by addressing definitions for lot area, front lot line, and divided lot; and providing for the effective date of this ordinance.

Powerline spraying during the month of April
We have heard from Consumers that they have scheduled an herbicide treatment for the powerlines in Port Sheldon Township during the month of April.
As a follow-up to the clearing of trees and brush performed recently, a low-volume herbicide application has been scheduled for the powerline right-of-ways in Port Sheldon Township. The herbicide mix will be applied as a hand spray treatment, selectively treating re-sprouting new growth of trees and brush as needed throughout the right-of-way. Crop areas, gardens and residential mowed yard areas will be avoided. Herbicides that will be used are a combination of the following: Garlon 3A (active ingredient: Triclopyr), Milestone (AI: Aminopyralid), Escort XP (AI: Metsulfuron Methyl), Garlon 4 Ultra (AI: Triclopyr), and Stalker (AI: Isopropylmamine Salt of Imazapyr), with 85% to 94% water as a diluent.
Please keep people and pets off treated areas until sprays have dried. There are no restrictions on your use of the treated area after the material has dried on the plant.

The Receiving Board for all Ottawa County Early Voting Sites will meet on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 4pm at the County Clerk’s Conference Room, 12220 Fillmore Street, Room 130, West Olive, MI 49460, for the receiving of materials from Early Voting Sites in Ottawa County.
The Receiving Board will also meet on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 7pm at the Main Conference Room of the Fillmore Administration Complex, 12220 Fillmore Street, West Olive, MI 49460, for the purpose of generating unofficial totals for all Early Voting Sites in Ottawa County.

That the Port Sheldon Township Board will meet at the Port Sheldon Township Office, 16201 Port Sheldon Street, West Olive, Michigan on Wednesday, the 13th day of March, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. to hold a public hearing on the proposed Township budget for fiscal year April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget is available for public inspection at the Port Sheldon Township Office, 16201 Port Sheldon Street, West Olive, Michigan the day prior to the meeting.
