Did You Know: The OCRC disposes of dead deer located in the road right-of-way as a courtesy service. Dead animal removal is limited to deer only and is conducted once a week. This may be delayed due to needed maintenance activities and during winter weather response.

OCRC Road Projects and Resurfacing
OCRC crews will be out in Grand Haven, Port Sheldon and Olive Townships starting Monday, June 19 to begin their 2023 chip seal program. More info on chip seal can be found here, and maps of the project can be found here (they’ll be working through the numbered routes sequentially).
Some roads may be closed during this time, so check the OCRC website and social media for daily updates!

Trash Service Changes
Trash service hours are Saturday mornings from 7:30-10:30am, beginning June 3, 2023.
Additional hours in the summer months of June, July, August are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Please remember all trash must be in the township issued bags. For more information contact the township office.
Summerfest 2023
Summerfest is this Saturday from 11a-2p at the Fire Department and Township Hall!
Once again the West Ottawa Jazz Band will be providing background music while you picnic on pork barbecue and watch other people’s kids enjoy the balloon artist and face painters. You can also wander between the township hall and the fire department eating barbecue and ice cream with your Port Sheldon neighbors who are all quietly considering doing the egg toss at 1p. This is also a great opportunity to see our awesome fire department or win some prizes!
