Mark your calendars, or the backs of your hands if you don’t bathe often, June 3, 2023 is Summerfest! Once again the West Ottawa Jazz Band will be providing background music while you picnic on pork barbecue and watch other people’s kids misbehave enjoy the balloon artist and face painters. From 11a-2p you can wander between the township hall and the fire department eating barbecue and ice cream with your Port Sheldon neighbors who are all quietly considering doing the egg toss at 1p. This is also a great opportunity to see our awesome fire department. New this year will be a pickle ball all tournament with two divisions, a social and a competitive level. We are starting with a 20 team bracket between both levels, more details to follow.
