⚠️ Public Notice – Email Scam Alert
Port Sheldon Township has received a report of several fraudulent email attempts using the Township’s name, logo, and information related to a project currently going through public process. The message was very detailed and appeared legitimate.
Please be aware that scammers can use publicly available information and AI tools to create very convincing emails.
Port Sheldon Township may send payment reminders by email, however:
- The Township does not request payment by wire transfer, gift cards, or similar methods.
- Payments are handled by check, cash, & credit card at the Township office, or through the official BS&A online payment portal.
If you receive an email requesting payment that seems unusual or urgent, please contact the Township office to verify before sending payment.
