Trash bags for 2014 will be available beginning Monday December 2, 2013 during regular Township office hours.
Port Sheldon Township office will be closed Wednesday evening November 27 along with Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Port Sheldon Township Firefighters will be participating in the CRUSADE FOR TOYS again this year. This is a project is to ensure all needy kids in our area will get a toy for Christmas. The Port Sheldon Township Firefighters will be at the Port Sheldon Party Store Friday, December 6, from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 7, from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. On Saturday come and have your picture taken with Mr. & Mrs. Santa from 8 a.m.- 12 noon. Firefighters will be collecting small unwrapped toys or donations of money, in return they will be pumping your gas, cleaning windshields, or whatever it takes. A drop off box will also be placed at the township office during the first two weeks of December. Your support is greatly appreciated.
You may have noticed new map posts indicating non-motorized trails at various intersections along the Township non-motorized trails. Mike VanDenBerg, a Township resident and also a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 43 of Holland constructed and installed the new map posts to earn his Eagle Scout rank. Mike also constructed a bike rack as part of his project. The bike rack is placed near the tennis courts by the Township Hall. If you see Mike please thank him for a job well done and a great improvement to our Township.
Port Sheldon Township Fire Prevention Night will be held on October 7, 2013 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the fire station located at 16045 Port Sheldon Street. Please come for fun, food and learning.
